Today’s blog post is all about what I do to calm down. Have you been keeping up with my daily blog posts? To read the latest copy the short link or check my bio!
Today’s read for our animal obsessed boy, it’s been raining so much today so we’ve stayed in and read and napped. We’ve both got this horrid cold that’s been going round and sticking to your chest so I’ve been utilising his nap time and napping too. People never tell you how hard being a parent is when both you and your child are ill it is so draining! Currently whacking the heating on and watching hey duggee under blankets!
We’ve spent our evening making Christmas cards. I know it’s early but considering i take like a month to remember to deliver any sort of card it’s probably right on time😂
Praise be! What I’m reading now! I’ve had this book for about a year and keep going to read it and stop. After being deeply immersed in the tv series and having to watch all of the seasons in every spare moment I had I thought enough time had passed now to pick the book up again. I’m about half way through and loving it but hating it at the same time. It’s a brilliant book but also such a harsh storyline that sometimes I feel a bit horrid reading it but I’m unable to put it down and must learn more and what happens next. Anyone else obsessed the tv series too and can not wait to see what happens next? #praisebe #thehandmaidstale #bookstagram
There’s something about the cold weather that makes me crave chocolate cake and a warm cup of tea ☕️🍰
This is my favourite little plaque in my house. I’m a sucker for cute little quotes and probably always will be. Whenever I look at this little thing I smile and remember to do more of what makes me happy. Just a reminder to “do more of what makes you happy”!

For Elijahs second birthday we have brought him a balance bike and a matching helmet to keep his head safe! Although his birthday is not till the fifteenth we had to let him have a test drive first!

A balance bike works by a child standing and pushing the bike or sitting and using their feet to push the bike. There are no pedals so it’s easy for little ones to learn how to balance and steer. The balance bikes are recommended as a alternative to stabilisers so that when it comes to riding a bike with peddles they require very little practice before learning. It’s great exercise working on their coordination and muscle memory and great fun too!

We took Elijah to a nearby forest walk, the best thing about living in Suffolk is all the nature walks around us! Elijah was excited to sit on the bike then nervous when he realised it moves. He quickly got over the nerves and loved it and learnt to do it by standing and had lots of fun! He enjoyed pushing and steering and kept asking to go on his bike when we came to a hill. He also loved the helmet and stood still while we put it on which I was shocked at. I think having a design they like is what swayed him. He loves lion king so we brought the bike in a lion king design and helmet too. We ordered both to Halfords and cost 46 for both. They are so worth the money and can be used till 4! I can’t wait to take him out for his birthday on his new bike after his birthday! Because it’ll be wrapped up again as he will of forgotten about it then and know no different haha! It’s a great family activity as well to take him and teach him and when he’s got the hang of it we could all ride bikes together!

Those bikes look really good. I have seen one, or two youngsters with these types of bikes. It surprising how fast they can go on them too.

Definitely a good buy, from the fun I have seen from youngsters on these bikes.
